Ironic. So regional powers like Russia, Israel, USA, China or Venezuela for example can say these very valuable land land should actually be ours. And Venezuela wants to take this land, basically colonisation, because of past colonisation, hence the irony to me. If the Countries, both countries, are willing to integrate, not just a regional power forcing another one to integrate, I am thinking like the EU or BRICS+, that is usually a valid form for me. But like Ukraine, Westbank, Greenland, Taiwan or Guyana, these countries are under threat of being colonised.

The problem here is virtually every part of the earth was wrongfully taken in the colonial era–or more recently. So what to do about that is a big question. I don’t think the answer is, fork over land to regional powers engaging in their own resource-grabs. Venezuela and Guyana are both essentially colonial projects, so if you really want to reckon with an anti-colonial argument it’s going to be much bigger than just a shift in borders.

Borders are just a stupid concept imo.

Biggest problem in our world is countries. Most citizens of those countries have the same wants. There’s little reason to respect a country and it’s concept of borders.

Yeah, the UN should answer this by saying they need to give their land back to indigenous people before they’ll make a ruling on this.

Now witness Trump gleefully support Venezuela annexing that land because he believes he can strong arm Venezuela to give all the profit to him

Guyana is basically under US control with the oil deals. They recently had the highest raising GDP in the world and the US already supported them against Venezuela threats.
