I got banned from r/gamingcirclejerk for pointing out that boycotting Hogwarts Legacy isn’t going to make a difference to Rowling’s riches or opinions and that boycotting it is really only hurting the developers. That subreddit lost its collective mind that couple of months to the point of being cruel (not because of my ban, but because they were treating people horribly).

The perpetually online seemed way more upset about the whole thing than the general public.
