Trump disagrees, apparently.

Please don’t encourage people to try and apply rational frameworks to regressive authoritarian behavior.
He says whatever riles up his base and his base will get riled up at whatever he says.
The content is largely meaningless as long as his cultists get to go home with the warm feeling of being part of a larger group.
