The thing is, is that if somehow you get the energy to get out the door, whatever you have planned is (nearly) always a good time. It’s just so hard to remember that when depression takes hold.

I feel this every time I have something social planned, and even moreso when depressed. I can be totally aware of what I need to do to feel better, and still get hung up on that first damn step. The psychological struggle is real.
