Bill C-22 would force every messaging app in Canada to build a backdoor — and track all your activity for one year. Apple says no. Signal says they'll leave.

I can’t insist enough on how bad this is. Putting at risk all messenging systems, it would be only a matter of time before a malevolent actor get the keys and get all kind of personal and sensitive data.

    I don’t know who you’re trying to convince here. I don’t like neo-liberals and I’ve never voted for them. The Conservative party is no different from the Liberals as far as cracking down on our rights is concerned (Carney could easily have joined the Conservative party instead of the Liberals and no one would have batted an eye).

    Both major parties need to go.

      You’d have to go back to Harper, and he did nothing to remove personal freedoms. That’s on Justin and Carney.
