Mad at Trump and frustrated with Democrats is like the motto of the past decade.
And many of them will still vote for whichever R comes by.
Politics has become religion2.0, many people on all sides have lost their ability to be reasonable or question themselves. Now it’s just these groups who are unquestionably correct to themselves yelling at one another. I’m in favor of a science party. Aka the goal is human and environmental wellbeing and we just test policies to see if they work or not. Why employ policies based on “feelings” and “beliefs”. Now if for instance a policy that works to foster wellbeing comes from this political philosophy or that political philosophy I don’t particularly care because it measurably works to foster human wellbeing.
Will this party consider those in the world we usually brutally oppress and exploit, as well as lying about them?
That’s part of human wellbeing so yes. Reality is multimodal and multifaceted so I do want to be clear it’s unlikely there is a magic world where everyone gets everything they want all the time, particularly since different individuals and groups can have competing desires. What can be done is an optimization. In mathematics this would be like a gradient descent on some N dimensional surface aka we are looking for the global minimum of needless and avoidable suffering by varying different parameters. In this sometimes a local minimum is found which can make finding the true global minimum quite difficult without bigger changes (which may or may not bring one closer to the global minimum). Some aspect or reality has something to do with probability or luck. I don’t believe at this time it’s literally possible to decrease needless and avoidable suffering of all kinds to absolute zero, but who knows I would be very happy to be wrong.
I can’t disagree with any of this. Whence are the new democratic party policies informed? Where can I learn more, please?
All policies are informed through factual knowledge as in I would need to do a lot of meta analysis on what’s already been done and what outcomes arose to inform some starting condition in detail. Aka based on history and our accumulated knowledge what actually would be the best political structure in detail. That said based on my personal knowledge I suspect it will be a socialist democracy with some degree of capitalism as to encourage and reward innovation and development.
Honestly to my knowledge you’re at the beginning of a new idea. There are similar concepts such as Scientocracy or Deliberative Democracy but they are slightly different.
In this concept the entire structure is informed by scientific methodologies and facts and the very core concept is the optimization of human and environmental wellbeing. So I can’t say as of now that it is strictly democratic, I would need to infer what the evidence says is best for the intended goal. Also similar to science any and all of it beyond the primary goal can be overwritten if there’s enough evidence to inform that choice much the same as how primary theories in science are overwritten when there’s enough or strong enough evidence showing they are incorrect. That is it’s perpetually changing to ensure the primary goal. Honestly I don’t even have a name for it.
This smells suspiciously like techbroligharchy. I hope I’m wrong.
trust me, its not just union voters
Really surprised Jeff let you say this.
