It is governments that funded the research into AI specifically for their militaries and security apparatuses - the fact that liberal elites gets to “sell” AI to militaries and security apparatuses is simply a very liberal way of ensuring control of AI remains in the hands of liberal elites. After all, it’s for the maintenance of the liberal order that these militaries and security apparatuses exist in the first place, is it not?
Sooo, no… it’s not simply a question of a few “bad apple” capitalists selling AI to the military - it’s just liberal oligarchy functioning as designed.
Unfortunately I am not good at conveying a sarcastic tone. The point was to say that doing those things is the very core of what AI is and AI can’t be separated from that.
