“Do you think my tattoo is cool?” No, I don’t. There are no cool tattoos. “Check out my sleeve!” Oh god ew.
Tattoos themselves are stupid. Doubly so if it’s some media IP. “I put Batman on my body!” “Look at this image of Goku on my calf!” I can’t think of many things I’d want to do less than that.
There are a few narrow exceptions. Chances are yours isn’t one of them.
If you personally like tattoos, fine. I’m not saying nobody should get tattoos because I don’t like them. I’m stating my opinion that tattoos are stupid, and I am stating it here because it is probably not a popular opinion.

Imagine making a thread just to bitch about someone’s own personal experiences that have absolutely zero affect on you.
You’re a fucking loser, not someone with tattoos.
And for the record, I have zero tattoos.
This person is stating an opinion, that’s not bitching that’s called making a subjective statement. Quite bold to put your opinion out there really.
If subjective statements make you emotional to the point of being rude and using coarse language, and just being abusive towards the person making the statement, then you need to sit down and look at yourself and change whatever it is you think makes it okay for you to be an antisocial crybaby who does like tattoos.
This world is full of people with a right to their own opinion, even ones that shouldn’t have it like you. Respect that at least
If your “opinion” is trashing on people for something they do to their own body that has literally nothing to do with you, that’s not an opinion, you’re just an asshole.
@EtnaAtsume@lemmy.world doesn’t have an opinion in which “I don’t like tattoos”. They are openly saying people with tattoos are stupid. They are even gate-keeping their own opinion by saying “There are few exceptions”, as if they are the ruler of opinion on tattoos. Basically saying “People with tattoos are stupid unless they have this short list of art that I personally approve of”
As someone who is queer and married to a trans person, this dipshit’s “opinion” leans so heavily in the “I respect trans people but I don’t believe they should be allowed to exist” trope of opinion. The absolute toxic judgement on someone else’s own personal volition of their own body that has absolutely nothing to do with @EtnaAtsume@lemmy.world screams someone who is against personal rights of others.
I understand what you are saying here, but I would argue that not only is your statement just the same, an opinion, it is quite the leap from “their opinion makes a blanket statement” to " likely fascist" and to me personally it invokes sympathy for you. It must be horrifying if your sexuality shapes interpersonal relations by merit of an overactive instinct for survival in this muddy dusty world we live in.
I would not know the exact reasoning but to me this person was simply venting.
Do you not know where you are?
Do you think an “unpopular opinion” is I think trans-gender people should be killed?
