So many people have helped and contributed, in big and small ways. Code, translations, ideas, testing, feedback, writing docs, running instances - PieFed wouldn’t be what it is without you all!

      Yeah, both!

      Any time you post in a community all your Mastodon followers already receive your post and can comment on it.

          No, you’d export a CSV of who you follow out of Mastodon, and then upload that into PieFed. Your PieFed account will then follow all the same people you were following on Mastodon.

          One day it’d be nice to support Mastdon’s account migration functionality so you can do a proper move which automatically gets all your old followers to follow your PieFed account but that’s a long way off.

        I mean, okay, but it’s a limited experience compared to direct Mastodon-Mastodon interaction, right? In terms of messaging and mentions? Or?
