Thanks for asking the community about this. Here’s my two cents:
Many companies and developers choose paid, closed-source, or partially closed-source models without any malicious intent, tracking, or advertising. Restricting to FOSS will also choke out developers that are simply wishing to retain ownership of what they’ve created or wanting long-term sustainability.
I’d suggest using StrawPoll or something else to keep voting fair. Votes affect post visibility, and some instances don’t have the option to downvote.
I’d also love more of an introduction from our new mod (who you are, what interests you have, how you got here), especially seeing that your accounts are under 8 days old
