okay in fairness we are wearing rain pants on top of motorcycle pants on top of pajama pants. but our hips are still getting pretty wide heheh

and yes the pride flag stickers on the back of the phone have seen better days. but there is more pride event coming up so we’ll procure better quality ones then.

bonus photo:

in this photo we definitely don’t pass as a woman, but we can’t for the life of it decide if we look like just a cis guy or transmasc. honestly it doesn’t even bug us, we still think we look pretty x3

p.s.: if you’re wondering why we were wearing rain pants with just regular boots, we had waterproof socks underneath! they work super well and being knee high are quite comfy. we might post photos to !unixsocks@lemmy.blahaj.zone so maybe look out for that

I have that, and there’s a grip problem. Like the socks don’t hold onto my feet, they slip against my feet instead and work their way off. Not exactly safe to stand up while wearing those socks, but shoes mostly rectify the situation.

agreed, any larger article of latex with closed feet (or hands) is quite awkward to move around in, especially long-term since both the dressing aid and your own sweat will start pooling at the bottom so your feet start sliding around inside if you try to put any weight on them.

i’m sure there are other techniques, but after much trial and error the best strategy i’ve found is simply to not get things with closed feet. all my latex stockings/leggings/catsuits have foot stirrups, so there’s still some material which goes around the foot to keep it pulled tight, while any liquids can harmlessly leak out. bonus technique: you can wear ankle-high socks (made from chlorinated latex, so you don’t need lube) and then put the stockings or whatever on over top of it. that way you still get the same “fully enclosed” sensation without anywhere near as much slipperiness, any liquids can be drained out with significantly less effort, and if the sock gets ripped by your toenails or whatever you don’t have to replace your expensive stockings entirely :)
