    They want to cut social programs but not tax the rich to defend Europe.

    I suggest that your share of the defense expenses of a country should be at least proportional to how much of the country you own.

    The poor will be the ones dying already.

    I’m sure the rise of pro-Kremlin far-right parties is completely the fault of Russia. And not, say, the pro-Kremlin far-right nation that controls most of our media and digital infrastructure and which engages in large-scale bribery and corruption as a matter of course.

        Because it’s easier to destroy (social-liberal) democracy with like-minded allies. Europe would have been a much tougher nut to crack without Russia to stoke their existential terror.

    Perhaps the rich and powerful need their own cage match. Leave the rest of us out of it.
