    Why would you ever use this tech for a game like NBA? Most of the time you’re playing from a top down perspective and you can barely see any details besides the player jerseys and the ball. You can see their faces when you get an action cam after a score or some shit like that but is it worth it making the game basically unplayable for that?

    Like I could see this tech being great for games where character faces being realistic would matter, a game like LA Noir, or Detroit Become Human would benefit a lot. Not fucking NBA.

      Also, the characters in the game are actual NBA players rather than fictional characters, so there’s a very easy reference point for whether DLSS 5 makes a character look more realistic.

        And oh I dunno maybe the developers could just use better base models??? For the perf hit they could be pushing way more polygons and higher res textures at a fraction of the perf loss
