As a long time C5 and AGNB fan this is really disappointing, “we provided a csv from our email list” - why the fuck would you ever do that?
I don’t like to dig up old dirt, but this has me questioning my subscriptions again given previous AGNB/C5 drama
I’m still leaning on the side of stupidity instead of malice, but they’ve done some stupid shit. I watch them for their journalistic integrity and documentaries though, and haven’t seen that falter.

This is pretty standard practice and has been for decades. Its an email list.
It might be relatively common, but it’s still decidedly not cool.
Don’t you have a separate email for signing up for stuff? Come on man, this is expected at this point.
