If it was removed the second you posted it, then it’s either one of the following:
- Your post got filtered by Reddit’s crowd control.
- Your post got filtered by the subreddit moderator’s Automod rules.
When this happens, the post gets sent to the moderators’ modqueue for manual review. This could either be due to your account having low or negative karma, your account is too new, or if you’re not subscribed to the subreddit. All of those are spam and troll prevention.
If the subreddit is moderated by reasonable people and what you posted doesn’t break any of the subreddit’s rules, then your post will be approved.

I learned a long time ago (because of reddit) that you should always copy & paste your post to notepad before you attempt to upload it.
This applies to everything.
…and if I have an especially great thought, I write it down with pen & paper.
If I don’t have a pen handy I have to convince myself that what I thought of ain’t great.
If it’s something you absolutely need to write down, there’s a wide range of fluids and trash that can be used to scribe.

I made it for almost a decade before I got banned for making a mild joke about immigration services, and that was around the same time Lemmy really took off… so I’d say I wasn’t alone on my journey.

It’s a den of censorship for 10 years now, only at first it was chuds who were censored, especially when it comes to denying someone’s chosen gender.
Always has been. Back in like 2016 you could look at removeddit and see that about 95% of posts that made it to the front page got removed. No, that’s not a typo.
In the future, all Reddit posts will be removed by Reddit’s AI.
Perhaps you won’t even need to post and the ai will just write it for you.

Be the one creating it! I was jesting, but the fact is, reddit is a cesspool, and it’s been for a good while, so this comes as a no-surprise for anyone knowing how things are going there.
Reddit’s filter is one of the stupidest things I have seen on the whole platform! It almost does not delete anything except posts/comments that have no issues!

I was going to try to re-spell everything using Herzog phonetics, but damned if I’m not struggling. It’s like he makes completely different choices than any native speaker would, but never does anything “wrong” that would be revealed in spelling. I bet people who are facile with the IPA can crack each each other up by transcribing Wernerish, but I am, sadly, not that person.
