Take note America, this is how you get shit done. Peaceful protests accomplish nothing. Dr. King would have been nothing without Malcolm X.
I mean the French don’t exactly have a good track record at getting shit done recently, so they’re not much better than Americans in that regard. Violence or nonviolence is ultimately a tactical choice that needs to be made according to strategic ends, not a matter of principle, and in any case the sin both Frenchmen and Americans keep committing is one of strategy (namely the lack of one), not tactics.
Dude they’ve got free college, healthcare, and 16 weeks of paid vacation on top of a mostly green infrastructure, with good access to public transit and have increasingly turned their cities back into places you can walk in.
They are light years ahead of us and it’s because when they want something they demand it and smash and burn until they get it.
Doesn’t most of what you said apply to most of the wealthy parts of Europe? I’m not sure why this should convince me the French approach is particularly effective. Also this is why I specified “recently;” French political action in the period where it got all those social programs was a lot more sophisticated than “smash and burn until they get it.” Meanwhile in the 21st century French smashing and burning has done little to nothing to keep the country from moving to the right, let alone push it left.
This is the truth. Americans have been fucking absolutely brainwashed to think civil rights were won through peaceful demonstrations. The fucking pathetic federal government was terrified of people burning down the country if they didn’t pass laws for civil rights!
Today the idiot Americans think peaceful protest and voting will change their conditions 😂😂😂
Almost like every single person in control recognizes and understands the importance of making sure we’ll only protest peacefully.
Just the French doing French things
Calling the crisis cabinet on kids, way to go Macron
When have ever a french protest didn’t turn into ‘urban violence’ ?
It’s not urban violence. It’s a fight for oir rights. Don’t let far right think for you.
