      Dairy whitener is just a colloquial product name. It’s what they call those little UHT creamer cups in India. The article is more about high phosphate levels.

      High phosphate intake over many years leads to hyperphosphatemia - basically, stiff crystals in your heart, arteries, kidneys, etc… Coronary disease, arthroscherosis, etc… Not good.

      Nestle is arguing that they ‘did the test wrong’, but IMO that’s unlikely as they simply sample the milk and check its polyphosphate levels - if it exceeds the standard, its non-compliant. Simple.

      More likely, Nestle is trying to do damage control in the media whole they backchannel some bribes to sweep it under the rug.
