    To me, this looks a lot like “we’re trying to not pointedly piss the obnoxiously capricious and transactional Americans off until we’ve made our final decision”. The Gripen is an all around more appropriate, efficient, and effective choice - and that’s before you even factor in the US-centric supply chain that the F-35 comes with.
