Hi ! I hope you are well ! Here is our weekly thread 😎
The fediverse is big ! Let’s share our small gold nugget found in the fediverse. :)
It could be :
- A new peertube channel
- An interesting mastodon account to follow
- Your new community ! Yes ! Why not ?
- An cool gallery of picture from pixelfed
- A playlist from funkwhale
- A text that moved you
Let’s dig together ! 😁
Registration on the rather new business network www.vutuv.com was very smooth. And import of my professional profile from LinkedIn worked excitingly well, almost no adaptations were needed.
I hope there will be some international instances soon, so that it is more distributed or federated in practice.Nice an open-source project under MIT licence ! And lastly i didn’t understood the part of the fediverse. Is it federated ? :)
It seems; The author says so. German Wikipedia: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vutuv?wprov=sfla1:
There are many fediverse settings for the individual account. Unfortunately you cannot manually switch the language (follows OS it seems), otherwise I would post a screenshot of the English configurations page so you could see for yourself what you can configure.
I haven’t actually tried out that part. For me personally, the potentially decentralized structure and the open-source character were decisive, not integration with other platforms.
If it is connected and interact with the fediverse, i think you could do a quick demo here zhile preserving your identity :)
I don’t know what test you mean. But I did a test, following to your comment. I connected respectively followed my vutuv account from Piefed. Then I made a post and a change to my CV on vutuv. The post was shown quickly on Piefed, but the change to CV was not. Then I commented the post on both platforms and reacted with a vote and an emoji reaction on Piefed. The comment from vutuv was shown in piefed. The comment on Piefed was not shown on vutuv. The reactions and the vote did not pass in any direction. I have seen exactly the same behavior between Piefed and Pixelfed, by the way. I do not use Mastodon, so I cannot test from there. Maybe it works better, as the apps explicitly mentioned Mastodon in some places.
Sorry i mean showcasing the app, so we see how it works ect :)
But thank for the test :)
Same is LinkedIn, but less clutter
Um - how, technically? And also, how without doxing? Well, I don’t care about that too much. I behave well in social media ;-) But maybe I’d just delete the post / comment in 1 week anyway… PS.: I am not a pro as you are, Snoopy! :)
