I was in the kitchen cooking lunch when I saw the cat jump on the bench and start drinking from the jug. Doing my best not to think of the greater implications of this.
I used to leave a glass of water on the coffee table for my kid when he was a toddler, until I caught the cat drinking out of it one day. Gawd knows how long that had been going on for.

!! A childhood cat was utterly obsessed with earwax. You’d wake up with her giving you a good clean out. Weirdest echoey scraping sound.
Don’t ask me how I know this but most cats actually love earwax. It’s even more addictive than Churu for some.
