Welcome to the first ever Weekly Question Thread on c/guildwars2!
This post is dedicated to those questions that you might not think is worth making a whole post about, but sure is worth getting an answer to ;)
Remember to also take a look at our links in the sidebar, which holds lots of great resources.
I play a Power Grenadier Scrapper when running with zergs. Most of the meta builds for this kind of scrapper insist that Sneak Gyro is the elite skill to go with. In my own testing, its effect is difficult to time with the movements of a zerg and gone way too fast. So, why is this a popular skill for Power Scrappers?
Assuming you mean WvW. This skill has been heavily nerfed for WvW in the October 4th 2022 update. Maybe those guides have not been updated or it’s still the best option you have? https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sneak_Gyro
Also, isn’t the WvW Zerg Scrapper Meta a Minstrel Support Build with MedKit and Elixir Gun?

I do. I guess you “zerg” in Drizzlewood, too.

My build would be more of the “Good” (not Great\Meta) rating, but listed on the Meta build sites.

That has to be it. I’m actually a bit of a scrub player, so I was just wondering if it was awesome sauce if I didn’t suck so much.
Compared to PvE it was already harder to maintain Stealth on a group of players in WvW, but the patch made it extremely hard. Well, it could have been even worse. If I remember correctly, the original plan was to make all Gyros stationary.
I’m not much of a Scrapper player myself. I only play it in Open World where Stealth Gyro or rather Gyros in general are still pretty good. Here’s to hoping that future balance updates don’t ruin what makes Professions / Elite Specializations unique and fun to play.
