It happened in Michigan. So it was always possible. And you don’t vote for nobody, primaries include all offices going to election. You just leave one box blank. That’s all.

It’s frustrating and terrifying that so many people are disconnected from reality to such a degree that they’re ready to exchange an extremely flawed democracy for a confederacy of dunces. I think that if we get through this, we really need to institute a mandatory year of civil or military service, alongside medicare for all. People feel like the government is some external entity, instead of something that they’re part of, and participating in.

The voters could have made it clear in the primary.
There were no real options on the primary ballot. There would have been, had he decided not to run, but he didn’t.
There was the blank option. It was even demonstrated.
