The beheaded babies thing was blown out of proportion. One official reporter on the ground interviewed some IDF soldiers who said witnessed many families slaughtered in their homes, some beheaded including babies. She asked him how many and he said around 40 in that village. She then wrote the piece contain the incorrect claim. I do sympathise with you in the sense that the pro-Israelis took that 40 beheaded babies thing way too far and they should, at minimum, retract such claims in their news outlets. Now, this one wrongly interpreted claim does NOT mean civilians weren’t targeted inside their homes and slaughtered, tortured, burnt, you name it. Hamas did NOT target military or essential services sites (like their electric grid or water supplies). They targeted civilians who could not defend themselves. If that’s not terrorism, I don’t know what is… Did you see the clip where a member of Hamas is walking through that party place and is shooting each portable toilet to kill anyone hiding inside them? What do you think of that? There were many non-Israelis present at that event. Do they get to the right to criticise Hamas?

Do you need more evidence than a live Al jazeera video stream showing the rockets being launched from within Gaza? Or the multiple other video angles of the same event captured by CCTV camera systems around the area? What evidence would convince you that the rocket came from Hamas?

My comment was about how political extremism pushes societies so far to one end of the scale that it is inevitable that will swing the other way eventually. It has happened repeatedly during history and Argentina is not an isolated case. If the “far-right” candidate is elected (as it happened in Brasil with Bolsonaro for example) it could be the result of that, of the left pushing too far and Argentinians wanting “change”. I don’t condone it, it’s just a pattern that’s observable.

Now, you don’t seem to (and many others who downvotes my comment) bother and look at my commented for its merits. You prefer to appease the mob in this bubble to make you feel good (maybe, I don’t know) and I don’t care. It is quite alright for people to not agree with each other and, to me, that’s the only way we can all improve. You didn’t care for any of it, you cursed me as if you have a moral high ground here. You will not find such material through official sources. They are atrocities and should not be circulated for many many good reasons. The photos and videos that do exist are spread around by Hamas themselves who have a sadistic satisfaction in seeing jews, abused, tortured and dead.

I’ve seen photos of said babies. Look up for groups in WhatsApp or Telegram and you’ll find them.

Sorry but I’ll have to correct you there. The webcam (even the ones embedded to laptop screen frames) are a mere usb device, using four wires in total: 2 for power and 2 for serial comms. The device doesn’t get “powered on or off”. There’s a controller chip that handles everything, from the simple usb serial comms to image processing. What I was referring to is that, in the past, there was a pin on that chip which would go high indicating the chip was “called”, as in it had come out of standby. This pin was not software dependent and could not be changed. Manufacturers would use this enabled pin to control the led (amongst other things) but these days they don’t. Mostly because these pins get repurposed depending on the application and so it’s cheaper to use software to configure them with new functions instead of having pins that only carry out a single function. In theory is a smarter way to utilise chips in multiple products but by ignoring true customer privacy.

For a long time the LED indicators were part of the enable circuit and therefore hardwired to turn on/off on camera “active”. These days though… The fact that it’s a firmware “feature” already says tons about it.
