Not true. Some countries allow it on a national level, but many do not. I believe The Netherlands allows it, but only at lower competition levels.
I think FIFA forbids it entirely, but I’m not entirely sure.

They don’t have as good an interface as others or good recommendations, but the library is pretty good. Besides some more obscure stuff, they have everything I love.
And if you’re interested in keeping stuff offline, there’s a few Python scripts that use their API to download the high quality files. Makes it pretty trivial to make a library of offline, high-res music.

Yes exactly, that’s why they shouldn’t be broken.
They’re consumer friendly and are not taking specific action to BE a monopoly, contrary to many other companies.
There’s also enough competition and it’s exactly their fault that they fail/refuse to implement what makes Steam so popular.
