I’ve been rated between 1200-1300 for 5 years now with no indication of any upward trend despite hiring a chess coach and studying. There’s just no helping some of us!

Yup. They’re not selling eBooks, they’re leasing licenses to eBooks. Vastly different.
Could be a good thing or a bad thing for you; Witch King is very, very different from the Murderbot series. I see a lot of people liking one and hating the other (in both directions), and not a lot of people liking both.
My advice would be to have your expectations set like it was a completely different author.
Most leftist voters around me knew that a vote for Harris or Trump was a vote for genocide, but I don’t think anyone but the truly gullible thought that a vote for Trump was a vote against genocide. Most voted for Harris as a means of harm reduction, especially considering that Harris could probably be pressured out of genocide if we made a big enough stink.
The whole “Genocide Joe” trope reminds me a lot of the “Bernie Bro’s” trope of 2016; a largely manufactured division of leftist and liberal voters to promote infighting.
You should absolutely be treating the US government as a hostile entity. Many Americans are also treating it as such, and are organizing emergency preparations (mainly go-bags) for things like martial law, civil war, and being targeted as a result of belonging to a prohibited minority group. You should take the US government’s threats seriously. We are.
Transgender Americans and other minority groups are feeling it for sure. It’s just not the white suburban traditional family Americans who have felt the pinch yet (aside from the price of eggs).
I hope with time we can prove to you that there’s Americans here fighting against this. I know it doesn’t look great now, and don’t blame you for hating us and our country. As an American, I also hate us and our country.
I know Europeans hate us Americans and I understand why. I’ve never supported Trump and have fought with my dollar, vote, and time, but I am just too ashamed to show my face in the EU any time soon.
firmware updates, then I forget the network on the device and then denylist the MAC address
hell is empty and all the devils are here
lmao, what a tool
If you factory reset your Bravia and then decline all the Google features (don’t sign in, etc.) it’s about as close to a dumb TV as you can get these days.
Yes, tragically. Don’t buy a Samsung Odyssey monitor like I did. It takes 7 button presses to change the input and there’s a Disney+, Netflix, and Prime Video dedicated buttons on the remote.
I’m looking to “down”-grade ASAP.
My TV and computer monitor are deny-listed on my router, and I’m angry that I even have to do that.
I think this diff makes it pretty clear its time to run, not walk: https://circumstances.run/@davidgerard/114078708183574404
100%. There was a shortage of traffic controllers before the firings even began, this only exacerbated a bad situation.
The UI is a bit janky, but the Hiby R1 (what I have) is a decent audio player for not much money. It has a plastic casing though and it’s not easy to remove the battery. I don’t think it fits enough of your criteria unfortunately, but wanted to mention it just in case.
I’m sort of fundamentally against the idea of renting music. Bandcamp supplies FLAC/WAV/etc and it’s DRM free. If I want to discover new music, I turn on my radio.
Bots are largely a nuisance to the communities they’re in; I would advise against making one.
