Not sure if they’ve been patched since but when it launched it was bad, the graphic enhancement was a lazy job of sort of upscaling that both made it loose the poligonal style (that in my opinion gives the games their characteristic look) and smear off some of the scenery texture to the point that some of the text on in game outdoors and store fronts gets blurred to the point of being illegible, and to finish it off it has a smaller music selection on the radios because of licensing issues

I don’t hate them equally cause neo nazism is a very particular form of awful, plus I think that NATO being fucked over and prevented from spreading east is a win for everybody, but yeah Russia is no angel indeed very far from it but as I see is the least bad side of this conflict. If you wanna start, I am somewhat good at explaining things, I think the first and most important part of getting into the game, is focus on what you want out of the game, if you like playing the campaign, look at that, don’t go look after endgame stuff, just enjoy the campaign and have fun, and go learning the rest of the game one step at a time. But if you are a power gamer and wanna go hard min maxing from the get go, go for it look into the builds and stuff. The game is a very big game you can go into it as fast or as slow as you want, I can help with what I know, I still have some to learn about it but I think I can guide people through most of it. I can be scary at first but the idea is that there is no wrong way to play it, play it how you like it and have fun.

Yeah the deal is to use open source stuff cause it tends to be more aligned wirh our philosophical stance, so whenever people state open source as an upside understand that we’ll go to through a lot to avoid proprietary stuff

That is somewhat true but it does not have to be the case, because the game is fun and have lots of fun ways to play, imagine its a board game covention and you have a hundred table top games to play, you can spend a couple of hours playing on the entry game and having a blast before moving to the advanced stuff and you can go on advancing at your pace, so yeah if you wanna go straight up to the deep end can be overwhelming but if you wanna make a character and go thorough the campaign, and maybe a little bit of the end game to get a taste for it, its a blast still

I don’t know how familiar you are with the game but its season based and in the 9th this month it’ll be a new season everyone starts from zero, so it’s quite fresh if you ask me, if you want to try it out I can help you with what I know
