Feels a little monkey’s paw but hey. If things work out then it was all for good.
Perhaps what we need is a backup code or some kind of exportable file with all our data (subbed communities, interactions, yadda yadda) which we can port over to a new instance if necessary.
An example within Reddit.
There are 5 different subs. Freefolk, Oldfreefolk and GameofThrones, asoiaf(A Song of Ice and Fire), pureasoiaf. All on the same subject matter.
Each has an active community serving a different need.
I guess.
I thought it will take an hour or so. It has been a few days… Hahaha.
Just have to wait I guess. The admins are probably overwhelmed these few days. Fking Reddit.
My issue was Lemmy.ml just leaves every subscription of mine on pending. No idea why.
I agree completely.
This is more for those that might still want some minor access for the time being to have a workable solution than that awful shit official app.
I guess I worded it weird.
But some people might still want the ‘Sync’ experience first and foremost. And since Lemmy’s version isn’t there, this is a workaround for Reddit at least till it gets ready.
Yeap.
Here is a tip.
I have been using Lemmy for like 2 weeks.
Connect for Lemmy or Thunder or Liftoff, all three apps are pretty great in the mobile experience. Much better than Jerboa from my experience.
(This was a game-changer for me today). After 2 weeks on the desktop site I finally went to settings and realized there is a dark mode.
Goodness life is ironically so much brighter now. I hated that white theme.
Thank you for this.
I just installed Connect. Soooo much better than Jerboa and the mobile browser. Actually a much closer experience to Sync than I would have thought.
And I am already contributing so much more cause the experience is that much better. Hearty recommendation guys
Sync is really gonna be a game changer in interaction.
Half and half.
Also, growth is exponential.
Its when it reaches a plateau aka once the dust settles, how much people remain engaged that matter.

I am here now and I am sad for liftoff. It has been great. But Sync. Man.
