I had kinda thought it was from my breath, but I never really looked into it. Could be all three?

11·4 days ago- Use your phone to take overview pictures of where the photos are located.
- Put all the photos in a drawer
- When you are ready to move out, use the photos from step 1 to put everything back where it was.
I didn’t even think women HAD septums. (joke)
What does SBA mean?
Huh, that makes sense. I was wondering what caused that buildup slowly over time.

Linux@lemmy.ml•I fucked up my old spare PC trying to install Linux and I'd like to freshly install a more compatible Linux for an older computerEnglish
10·5 days agoWhichever distro you decide on (the current top comment is correct in implying that it really doesn’t matter), just look up how its program manager works. It’s usually not hard to use, but it does vary from distro to distro.
Unlike Windows, you usually want to install Linux programs from the distro’s “app store” instead of downloading each program from its website. However, what’s called “app image files” do exist. I want to emphasize, though, that these should be your last resort.
Never really thought about this, but what if we showed them having a positive response without showing what the results were? Then the audience can decide.
In MST3k (Mystery Science Theater 3000), the mad scientist, Pearl Forrester, has to get reviewed some sort of mad science review board at one point, I’m pretty sure.

I wish my cat would lay on me for hours. She’ll play with you all day, but if you pick her up, she wants to leave after 10 seconds. The only time she ever lays near or on us voluntarily is when she’s scared (washing machine, fireworks, or thunder). She follows us everywhere though. She’s one of those “just out of arm’s reach” cats.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it just the norm now-a-days for grocery stores to have lots of stuff on the shelves that's past the best-by date?English
40·22 days agoInsight from someone who used to work in retail. Also, my husband currently works at a grocery store. In fact, he regularly gets asked to travel to other locations to find and discard out of date food.
There are two main factors to food on shelves being in date:
-
It needs to be stocked properly. That is to say, old stuff needs to be pulled to the front, and new stuff needs to be put behind it. It’s worth noting here that the correct way is more difficult than the easy way (just putting new stuff in front).
-
You need employees to regularly check items on the shelves to ensure they are still in date.
And that’s really it. You’re noticing more out of date stuff, because every major retail store in the country is cutting staff to save money. You cut staff, and what you are left with is fewer employees who aren’t as well trained. They cut corners while stocking, and they do not have enough time to properly check dates later either.

5·23 days agoMost Americans get two weeks off a year, if they’re lucky. There’s no way to make this “outside your day job.”
It’s “advance copy,” because you’re getting it in advance of the release date.

2·23 days agoOh, you mean Many Asshole Johnson? That guy had a fucking lot of assholes.
You’re right, the texture is different, but I hate both. I also hate fried potatoes unless they are fried very crispy.
Interestingly, I like peeled, raw potatoes. (Just because I don’t like mashed potatoes doesn’t mean I won’t make them for others on occasion.)
We do sound similar. I love onion powder and add it to most things when I cook. I can tell why people like onions, I just hate them. I do kinda wish I could stand regular onions as well. But yeah, something about them lingers in food and just taints it.
Also, I only like oatmeal when I make it. Most other oatmeal is gross. I use the rolled oats, and I don’t cook it particularly long. Raw oats are edible, actually, so you don’t have to worry about undercooking. Might be worth a try if you want to like oatmeal. Cheers.
