General News@lemmy.today•In-N-Out gunman Chad Williams railed against crime in chilling posts before Idaho mass shootingEnglish
1·7 days agoOkay, thanks for the clarification, but I don’t think anyone, regardless of political leaning, is going to be okay with some dude walking into an In-N-Out restaurant and just shooting and killing people. Saying it somehow trivializes the situation because you don’t like a certain political party seems pretty messed up to me.
You’re free to feel however you want politically, but man, I think that’s kind of lame. These people were literally at work or just grabbing some food, and they got murdered. There’s nothing cool, funny, or political about that. It’s just horrible.
Not everything is Republicans vs Democrats. I know Lemmy feels that way, but brother, you’re are just adding to that fire.

Oh! You mean you don’t like it. Doesn’t matter. It’s still a popular news site. You certainly aren’t required to read it though.

PapaSkwatOPMtoVibe Coders@lemmy.today•Vibe coding is here to stay, but engineers and computer scientists say 'learn to code' is still good adviceEnglish
1·22 days agoAgreed. I vibe code very simple projects for my personal use. Projects I wouldn’t have paid anyone to program for me, and I wouldn’t have paid for any of them. They have been mostly personal training, run tracking, raspberry pi apps, etc. All personalized just for me.
Vibe coding actually inspired me to learn real programming just for fun. But I wouldn’t want to design a consumer app or anything of that nature anyway. Too complicated and I don’t like putting up with people’s bullshit.
I do think AI will get good enough to do ultra complex apps though. In a very short while. Which is why many programmers feel threatened. I get it and sympathize. Meh, that’s the way society advances. Plenty of people in other industries have had to worry about tech advances replacing them. We all just move on. It still sucks, but it sucked for us too.
Ultimately I think AI has more positives than negatives. I’m well aware that most of Lemmy disagrees! lol

The downvotes are 100 percent because Lemmy is anti-ai regardless of content. It is AI by the way, but I like what I like, I don’t think a human has to have touched something in order for me to like it. And I’ll continue posting AI stuff if that I enjoy. :)

Well, I do like the National Enquirer. It was much more fun in the 1980s though. But no, I disagree with you.
Actually you’re mad because of it’s politcal leanings, regardless of content. This news item about the shooting is reported on by lots of news orgs.
Your free to hate on a news org and not read it. But to say it’s not a news org because you don’t like it’s political slant isn’t something I can take seriously. (And no, I am not Republican, just in case you were planning to go there next.)
Did you read anything in this article that you found to be untrue?
