It absolutely does feel like the future of personal computing is headed down a highly integrated path.
This does have positives such as lower power consumption and more efficient designs. However, normally these types of devices are fairly locked down while running proprietary OSes.
That’s where the Steam Deck shines. Valve is showing that not only can you have a highly integrated and power efficient design it can also be an open platform running Linux. That’s a big part of what makes the Deck special, at least for me.

How well does No Man’s Sky run? Is it a locked 60fps experience or more like 40fps? What about Death Stranding?
