I donated to calibre, makes my eBook viable.
My previous account was @dumblederp@aussie.zone I left it because Rowling has turned out to be a pretty shitty person and I don’t want the association.
Mostly I’m just here for idle friendly conversation over shared interests.
I can get caught up in my own stubbornness on some topics.

I’m glad they went with the civil rights friendly option when softening the donation restrictions. We’ve had a blood drive going for a month or two at the moment, they’re looking for typo-O in particular. If you’re eligible, go be civic, help a stranger.
I’ve met German (and French) women in Australia who’ve openly said they’ve got a Muslim men problem. e: I was somewhat shocked to hear it as an Aussie. We were all at a party round a fire and they all started comparing stories of hassles they got back home.
Australian xiellenial here, 12 years ago I taught at tafe and I reckon about half the class was on gambling apps. I was shocked as none of my peers use them AFAIK.
Even if they add ten minutes I used to prefer taking the creek for the peaceful cycling.
Got any rivers? They’re usually nice without intersections.
Unpopular Opinion: I prefer cold pizza the next day to fresh or reheated pizza. It’s one of my main motivators to only eat half a pizza so the other half goes in the fridge.
You can get an assist from a speed bump if you time it right. Just as the car apex’s the bump drop it into 2nd and the wee hill can be enough to start the car.
Hill starts. Pedal timing for take off from standing. There’s a little dance to learn, @Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk hill start advice should see you learning it.
Parked or driving, you’ve got to be able to take off while facing uphill without rolling back. You don’t want to roll back into the person behind you. Also a good reason not to pull up too close behind others on a hill.
I used to be friends with a bi guy who’d cross dress from time to time. He stopped after he got beat up for it.
Even better. I saw three air poppers in the opshop yesterday.
I think their point was “no regular abortions” and they simply didn’t think or consider any other possibility where they’d be wrong with that statement. Like a someone damming a river because they want the water and not considering the people down stream, they’re not against the people downstream, they simply don’t care.
Yeah. Twenty years ago. I worked for two ISPs over the years. At both of them the test accounts for support to use were unmonitored accounts due to how many places they were used and logged in by. In both cases I simply put those login details into my home setup and got free internet for probably about three years. Before that some friends got a un/pw file from a university and decrypted a few hundred names and passwords for accounts which gave free dialup access to students. Again multiple logins seemed allowed so the only person losing was the uni/isp. Used to be able to pull about ~14gb a month through a dialup connection. Probably via napster, kazaa and soulseek, I can’t remember if torrents were a thing back then.
“Action Kid” on YT does walking conversational tours through NY or Chicago, I can’t remember which. They’re nice, low-engagement where he’s just sorta talking about what he sees.
Consider an air popper if you want lower calorie popcorn. Plus you can make it from a small scoop of popcorn, rather than committing to a whole bag. e: plus if you open an unpopped bag, there’s a bunch of oil in there to help with the popping and flavour.
I’m in my 40s and daily a spoon I was given around my birth.
I <3 MILFS gay little backpack sorta looks like a shoulder holster.
Often, although I’ve become somewhat desensitised to the wacky things they sometimes have, eg, the Mountain Dew flavoured Doritos. I think of it kind of like a food opportunity shop, there isn’t always opportunity.
I can take you to savemore for cheap odd failed product lines. It’s my local attraction. You can bring the dog.
It’s a drug with therapeutic uses, they’re simply scheduling it for professional use… within an extremely niche community of psychiatrists.
