so Dredd is a great action movie and even though its main character is a literal cop chud fantasy, a main theme of the movie is that the Judges of the megacity are a deeply flawed and fucked up org full of cold blooded murderers and opportunists, and dredd himself is only a partial exception. the villains are very clearly shown to be psychopaths who are AT LEAST as bad as the judges, and the collateral damage to civilians from doing a war in a compact apartment complex is a central focus of the movie. my q is, is Dredd copaganda in the sense we generally use that term? it is, by definition of having a super-cop as its protagonist, but imo there’s more artistic value to it than, say, your average network cop drama
