Parliament should be a representative sample of the population. The best, bias-free way to achieve this is through random selection. If that sample turns out to be mediocre and unable to make any meaningful decisions, it is because the population itself needs to improve. Time to invest in education.

Heck! It isn’t even part of the Schengen area in the first place).

There are many things for which it is fair to criticize Sanchez, but this is not one of them.
