  • this guy i play g*mes with in my guild has such terminally online takes that i think it’s genuinely making him friendless

he told me wearing a she hulk shirt was supporting israel or something ? idk man. maybe i’m just a girl who got this for $3 at a thrift store to work out in. but sure i can see what you mean if i squint really hard. i don’t think anyone but the terminally online is going to think anything but ‘o it’s a girl hulk’ at it but okay

Also bro u have a ring camera like ? i think you’re doing a lil more to support the police state than me but idk whatev, i’m probably putting too much of my ego into this weird shit anyway.

I must not be terminally online. Being terminally online is the mind killer. I must simply log off.

but anyway speaking of logging off, i got a lot of reading done today and am going right back to that. Re-reading the vorkosigan series, cozy.

  • it’s also pretty standard conflict resolution/therapy shit

there is objective truth but the odds are one person was struck by omniscience and experienced it during a conflict and the other didn’t isn’t very high lol. so better to act as if all people experienced some form of truth through their own internal filtration system, validate any perceived harm, then move on to accountability from harm from actions there rather than fight about who is correct about their feelings.

It’s also a way to deal with stopping black & white thinking and trying to look at reality in a more objective way (ironically). Instead of thinking “i’m late, i’m gonna be fired” you can be like, well two things are true at once, “i’m late and feeling anxious and guilty about it” and also “in the past, my boss has never once been concerned about being late”. the feelings of anxiety and guilt are no less invalid, however they are not grounded in real danger.

unfortunately abusers will use every single tool at their disposal including ones that are benign in the hands of a trained expert, it just be like that. There you go, two things can be true at once

  • Gotcha! I get that for sure LOL :)

In that case, here’s some practical advice on foods i’ve eaten recently in a non workout day: I cook all this shit homemade cuz i’m poor These are kinda low calorie for me, it was my mom’s bday and i’ve been on vacation

    • half a recipe of peanut butter oat bars
    • coffee with soymilk
    • pizza with hummus instead of sauce. i also dipped in hummus also because i’m a real sicko
    • “hot girl cereal” - cereal, fruit, soy milk.

yesterday pancakes with peanut butter and fruit coffee with soymilk air fried tofu & rice - usually i eat half a block of tofu + 1 cup cooked rice x3 quesodillas - canned beans, then we make cheeze with sunflower seeds. random breakfast bar from the food bank

every now and then i check my diet in a cronometer to make sure i’m not horribly under eating - which is a common problem when starting as vegan till you discover all the junk food! But anyway, when i check i usually get around 60-110g of protein on days where i’m not like “ughhh i ate like shit”, which is pretty close to .7g-1/lb to me. It seems to be pretty sustainable. sometimes i eat more protein, sometimes less. sometimes i don’t eat enough, sometimes i eat too much, it evens out.

  • if you just eat enough it’ll be pretty hard not to get enough protein tbqh.

speaking as someone who gets paid to lift for 25 hours a week, i just eat when hungry (a lot). My body generally craves proteiny food at most meals, but not all. I WILL suffer if i don’t eat well at my job, so i am forced to eat well enough to make my job easy for me.

so truly, you’ll know if you need more food or protein in general because you’ll feel it as soon as you work out, or even before. sometimes i see people in fitness basically give themselves an eating disorder trying to keep track of this shit and it’s like, unless you’re a competitive athlete, just listen to your body, only you hold the answer to what you need.
