Socialism With Sam Hyde In Gulag Characteristics
People aren’t centrists. They want big changes to things. They don’t want a lot of nothing. They want one big thing. It’s a different thing for everybody. And they want somebody that they think will fight for them. Donald Trump may be a dumb liar but he has presented himself every day as someone that will fight for his people. Kamala told everybody on the left to fuck off, the genocide will continue and we’re going to have a sensible border wall. And she was going to put a republican in her cabinet. Am I losing my god damn mind? Does the average democrat voter want a republican cabinet?
I can stay?
So did all those Dick Cheney supporters just fucking forget to vote or what?
It’s probably going to be a bad time for trans people. I expect a lot more laws preventing trans people from playing sports in high school. I’m worried about migrants, homeless, Gaza but I already was. There will probably be more abortion restrictions in more states. Conservatives might get like a 7 or 8 seat majority on the supreme court.
Now that the democrats have been cast into the desert again, liberals might start pretending to care about our issues again. But they did not pretend. They made it clear that we would not have a seat at the table with Kamala and now we still won’t have a seat at the table and neither will they.
I didn’t know how jokerfied I’ve gotten because while I’m still disappointed that Trump is going to be president again, it’s also hilarious that she did even worse than Hillary. The democrats are an absolutely terrible party. I’m sad Trump won and glad Kamala lost. She was talking about protecting black people’s crypto and campaigning with the Cheneys and would not take a stance for or against anything, even against genocide.
I don’t think it works when the candidate was palling around with the Cheneys. The left didn’t having any hopes to dash.
If we had had this powerful word 2 months ago, we could have annihilated the kkkapitalist uniparty with it.
I wouldn’t vote for Kamala in a ranked choice system either and that’s why I’m not voting for her. I’ve voted for democrats in the past for that reason. In a ranked choice system, I would rank the democrat above the republican, my preferred candidate would not get elected and my vote would elect the democrat, so I just pretended that was happening and voted for the democrat. I would still rank Kamala above Trump, but I would not vote for either of them in this election because I do not vote for genocide enablers.
I like the sound of Wicconana.
On a serious note, police shoot approximately 25 pet dogs every day and it’s nice that the rabid cop party (the other is also a cop party but isn’t rabid) is grieving this one particular squirrel.
It’s like It’s a Wonderful Life except he starts in Potterville and has a terrible nightmare of a decent society. It’s A Shitty Life.
It’s nice that your dad is encouraging. Lots of people don’t have dad’s that encourage them. But I agree with other people that following your dreams leads too easily to career based sense of self, which is not healthy and gets even less healthy as late stage capitalism progresses to degrees of lateness we cannot currently imagine. But it is never healthy to derive self esteem from work.
Seriously, all the stores and media and commercials and ads are getting people hyped up about Christmas by now and people don’t get into the Halloween spirit and the Christmas spirit at the same time.
I hope it’s not too late to radicalize them.
Trump calling stuff fake news and saying journalists are the enemy () caused liberal trust of the media to skyrocket. They had more skepticism though not enough before that. Compared with conservatives, liberals claimed higher levels of trust of everything including literal right wing propaganda outlets since Trump. Conservatives basically only trust Fox News which is just about the only right wing propaganda that liberals didn’t trust. So I hope they wake up to the fact that all media is owned by capitalists and there’s apparently a lot of value they see in being able to influence public opinion.
Like most Americans, I live in a state where my vote won’t matter and I’m keeping my conscience clean. This one is just a bridge way too far for me. I think I would probably reconsider if Rashida Tlaib endorsed Kamala, but I don’t think she will or should.
I think he cleared the very low bar of being better for unions than Obama, Clinton, or Carter, despite literally breaking a rail strike. So that’s the best in over 50 years. I have found myself wondering if I might not be a communist if he had gotten elected in 2008 instead of Obama because he genuinely seemed more open to making progressives happy at first. Then the progressive stuff expired and he reimposed austerity on his own economic achievements while big corporations raked in profits
