Ah, you live near/in Klagenfurt or Graz then. The new tunnel is a great example of how Austria does invest quite well in their train network, I barely ever get any delays and with the klimaticket I don’t have to pay anything except seat reservation (which I admit is annoying).

I’ve lived in Austria, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Ireland, and england thus far in life and the best train network has been the Austrian one (with Italy a close second).

And sure high speed would be great but it’s not very easy given the geography of Austria, I’ll be moving to Japan next year, so I guess I will get to try out high speed and see what their systems is like

I think the number of comments below you show the uses of glasses like that. I really think they would a lot of people who are disabled etc. For me they would really help me with some of my memory issues, especially since i’m looking to have a career in a genre of music where’s it’s frowned upon to have sheet notes

It’s funny, I would love to some have the novel tech they developed (HUD / display built into glasses since I’m wearing them anyways). The problem, as usual, is corps taking the piss with prices and profit then spying on you and everyone around you non-stop anyways…

I would 100% be open to some HUD glasses delivered with a FOSS OS that works completely offline and/or via your phone (but still offline). But that’s seriously wishful thinking given our corporate and political overlords

It is an older paper, but aftet a skim the only significant missing experiment is LIGO. At the scales which GR is fundamentally concerned we simply do not have sufficient data or technology to test.

If we had tested everything that could be for GR or it had no contraditions we wouldn’t be creating modified theories of gravity or proposing new constants to try solve things, or trying to come up with some quantum theory of gravity.

Hartle has a very simple way of viewing this, see photo from his textbook “Introduction to General Relativity”

One thing to remember is that GR is still just a theory with a substantial lack of experimental proof, but the maths does work out quite well with it.
