Quebec unions are really powerful. This would be awesome
Seconding Beelink. I have one of their SER boxes as my solution to smart tv and it works great
Make the games have extra content for Prime subscribers
That was the point I think. In a game about spies, you want the pistol to feel OP so the player feels like a spy. It wouldn’t feel very James Bond to mow down enemies with the LMG.
Also I still have nightmares about the boss battle with the Russian cocaine guy
What language is this comment written in?
Except they misspelled “Oubliette”
What does this have to do with Ubisoft?
I think with Frostpunk specifically it’s meant to be more like a portmanteau of Steampunk and Frost, because the vibes in that game are definitely built on the Victorian/Coal power/industrial revolution era aesthetics.
That’s a good point. But then it creates a pretty ugly facade for the network. People who arrive at Lemmy and see a bunch of posts from ghosts that everyone in the know has blocked would create two images of the fediverse. One for people who have curated their experience, and one that is more “raw”
I think it brings up an important question about ban evasion in a fediverse context. How exactly can we ban someone from a community if they can just create an account on a different instance? IP banning isn’t really an option. You could say that you would defederate from instances that let them in, but that’s a very “throw the baby out with the bathwater” type solution.
When their account creation consistently lines up with the last comment of the previous account. When they use the exact same language to describe themselves. And when they keep posting about the same topic with the same tone.
Hey, it’s @fookreddit69@lemm.ee and @Kimdracula@lemm.ee again? Jeez dude, just get off the internet already. You keep getting banned for a good reason, and it’ll keep happening as long as you keep posting stupid bullshit like this.
For anyone coming into this thread with the intent to give OP any kind of positivity or support, I promise you OP will make you regret it. He is an incel and a troll and he’s up to his third account now from being banned so many times. Just downvote and move on.
After years of screaming into the void on one of these apps, I did eventually find my current gf there. They have a very poor ROI in terms of time, but they are also where most people go nowadays to meet people. Protip if you’re a straight guy: have a woman friend help you craft your profile, including potentially a dedicated photoshoot.
Based on my own experience talking to men and women who use dating apps, Hinge is the one to use if you are looking for an actual relationship. That is the one that eventually worked for me. And I know quite a few couples who met there.
Bumble used to be decent too but they keep removing features. The speed dating feature on Bumble was a godsend for people who can’t get by on looks alone, but who have a decent personality as well.
Tinder is basically only to be used if you are looking for ONS hookups.
Note that as a guy you may have to pay for premium features on these apps in order to stand out from crowd. The gender imbalance on the apps is too real.
That’s the thing that gets me. Undercutting is the quintessential anticompetitive practice, and it’s Epic’s entire business model. They give away games for free because they are trying to siphon some of Steam’s customers. They make exclusive release deals with publishers because they want to force people to use their platform. They are trying to compete with Steam using their resources from the success of Fortnite and Unreal rather than compete with the storefront by actually having a better storefront.
They do leak coolant though
Bortles!
I was making a joke about abusing Chinese censorship in order to stop them cloning GitHub repos (assuming that was something you wanted to do). The joke being that the CCP suppresses information about their human rights abuses. That is not true of the US. You could absolutely make a GitHub repo detailing the crimes of the US government. Nobody will stop you.
It’s Kolkata right? That’s the sense I get from watching anti scammer YouTubers like Jim Browning.
