Selfhosted@lemmy.world•IPv6 and TP-Link Omada troubles
5·2 months agoYou should at least provide the model of the omada router. At least for a ER706W V1, vendor specifications says that it supports IPv6 static routes.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Is there a music thing that handles single tracks
3·3 months agoI don’t totally understand your request. Maybe, do you refer to something like https://odesli.co/ that can generate a kind of “universarl url” for songs in streaming services. isn’t it?

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Selfhosting Sunday - What's up to date, selfhosters?
3·4 months agoI’ve just noticed that proxmox 9 is already available. I will check the procedure before upgrading my machine. Any suggestions regarding that?

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Immich server is not reachable - SOLVED
3·4 months ago@Babalugats You need to provide more information about your setup and config. Are you trying to connect from outside your local network to the domain name no the ip address? Do you have the right DNS A register configured? Any firewall that can be blocking ports? port forwarding in your router?

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Immich server is not reachable - SOLVED
13·4 months ago@Babalugats I think “/api” i the url is wrong. It is only needed the host and optionally port when not using default http or https. Try just with http://your-host:2283/
I think you’re not providing enough information to help you. You should provide your config files, some logs and detailed explanation of failure.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•A case for an Immich Flatpak
1·5 months agodoes jellyfin have a flatpak app for the server or is it just the client app? So far I know it is just the client.
I think the easiest way to install immich is with docker.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What are the ramifications of letting an old domain that was used for email go back into the market?
13·5 months agoIn the worst case, the new owner could create the same email account and try to supplant your identity. I think it is very unlikely, but I would not risk and keep the domain for a couple of years, at least, to be sure.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•how are my fellow peeps hosting your music collection these days?
3·6 months agoYes. There is a plugin to use jellyfin as a source in volumio. It’s the best.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•how are my fellow peeps hosting your music collection these days?
8·6 months agoI’m a very satisfied #jellyfin user. I have my music and movie files shared there. I use different clients: a rpi 5 with kodi and jellydin plugin; an old RPI B with volumio; in android, finamp and also share with dlna.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Best Free Mobile App for Streaming Self-Hosted Music?
1·6 months ago
The easy way, but not the most secure: identify GID and UID of files created by your samba docker container with “ls -la”. Then assign ownership of files and directories of shared volume to that user/group "chown -R GID:UID /path/to/shared”

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Selfhosted alternative to Spotify
4·1 year ago@mitexleo @selfhosted Jellyfin can also do that. You need to configure metada providers in library. But it is required that you organize your library directories by artist/album.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Selfhosted alternative to Spotify
3·1 year ago@mitexleo @selfhosted here you can find some information on how to organize your music directories in Jellyfin.
https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/music/
You need to add media library first.

@Peffse I will check that in my server. Thanks for the tip.
