While it’s (probably) not the case for Valve, I think it’s pretty clear that Microsoft’s end goal is endless subscription fees and you owning nothing. And there’s a good chance of them succeeding at that as long as the primary OS for PC gaming is Windows.

This specific example is one thing that self hosting is arguably better for. I’ve made a few shitposting memes and the like that are five seconds long and uploaded unlisted just to share with friends that get immediately flagged and banned for DMCA that I’ve taken to just self hosting them. They’re getting like three views anyway because the world was never meant to see them.
People sharing videos with friends and family seems like a problem that’s already solved, if you really don’t want to use YouTube. Big channels that get millions of views are the real issue.
We know this model has been a key part of the Affinity offering and we are committed to continue to offer perpetual licenses in the future.
If we do offer a subscription, it will only ever be as an option alongside the perpetual model, for those who prefer it.
Seems to be the key take away based on comments from similar posts. The wording is a bit more explicit here.
I’m always weary of the never-ending march towards everything monopolizing into like three companies, but it seems like this might not be so bad, at least for the near future.

It’s worth mentioning that the biggest concern, depending on your country, is getting in trouble with your ISP. That’s where a VPN comes to play.
Funnily enough, it went the opposite way for me. I had a decent sex education but then came the internet.

If you don’t have a 3D printer, you can buy the jig for like $5 online. Then it’s just a matter of sliding the jig into the joycon port and rebooting… bam hacked switch.
Feliz Navidad is the only Christmas song that I don’t utterly despise. Perhaps because none of the places I worked at that played music when I was younger ever had it on the rotation, I can appreciate that it’s super catchy and fun.
All other Christmas music makes a holly jolly boy a sour Scrooge.

That’s the cool part, it doesn’t.
I like the two USBC ports so I don’t have to continuously swap out my PS4 ssd and PSVR. That said, if the “detachable disk drive” uses one of the USBC ports… meh.

Put it in your wishlist so you get a notification when it’s on sale. I bought it like six years ago for $2.99.
I really enjoyed it for that price. I get why people didn’t like it on release because it literally took me about three hours to play the game twice to get the platinum trophy, so I won’t lie and say I wouldn’t be miffed for paying $60 for a game that can be beaten during a smoke break. But for $3, I had my fun. The setting was cool and I wouldn’t mind seeing a sequel to it.

I mostly liked it. The joke that got me the hardest was probably the robot standup comedian.
My only complaint really was that they pulled an “oh no fry is dead but wait he’s not” again which the writers really started to like to do in like every other episode after the first reboot, so I hope this doesn’t become a running theme in every episode.
Actually, you can avoid all the enemies. The basic gist is just to keep running. If you run and jump from the start of the room, you’ll land and go under the drill fly when he spawns. Run-jump to the next platform and go up, and he’ll be stuck under the platform. Then you just jump up the little shortcut gap, pogo to the next ledge, and do another running jump to the second pogo to clear that drill fly before he can get you. If you run it and don’t mess up a pogo, it takes about 20 seconds.
I went from frustrated with the run back my first two or three attempts on Last Judge until I got the run back down and then it was kinda fun. I’d still rather not have run backs tbf but that one’s not quite as bad as I’ve seen some people make it out to be.
