  • I don’t know if I’d say strictly that racism is fundamentally an extension of speciesism

Yeah I don’t know if I’d go that far either as saying that it’s “strictly” coming from speciesism, it’s most certainly more complex than that. But a lot of it is justifying itself by portraying people being “less” human and “more” like animals, as if humans are distinct from animals, and implying that they are worth less by association. You can see this in action by how animals get used as racist insults for instance.

Humans being the “most evolved animal” (a term that makes no sense) and implying that some people/societies are “not as evolved”, though today terms like “backwards” or “developing” countries are more popular, rely on the perception that evolution (biological or societal or whatever) is a race with a goal, something you can be further advanced in than others.

This idea that the “strongest” animal kicks the others out, therefore is the most advanced and we should strive to feed into this just leads to “might makes right” kind of thinking. Which is just not how evolution or anything really works.

I mean if there is a pinnacle of evolution it most defintely are crabs crab-party. And we are not very far along the carcinization process. People who leave in pinchable meat shells should probably not be talking shit about other animals…

  • No one is trying to conflate jews as a whole with zionists in the conversation you are talking about. The screenshot that post is about is even listing statistics explicitly oulining how it’s “not all jews”. The point is not “all jews are zionists” it’s pushing back against the idea of zionism being distinct from judaism. It isn’t. It’s a part of judaism and it’s history in the same way that the crusades or the inquisition are a part of christianity. And the statistics are supposed to highlight that it’s not a small part of contemporary judaism either, but the vast majority and certainly the most powerful jewish institutions understand zionism as a core part of judaism.

What you’re doing however is heinous. You aren’t just misrepresenting the argument, which could be handwaved as you not understanding it, but you are putting a screenshot of their modlog as the picture to your post. Not the argument, which you didn’t even link, but you’re trying to underhandedly paint them as a transphobe without outright stating it. I don’t know if they are, but it is immaterial to the current conversation. This is not a good faith approach but an attempt at character assassination.
