2·30 days agoIt’s pretty much me sharing a tweet. We’re not Lenin or the Bolsheviks. And it has been successful - I’m in touch with several comrades throughout the country now. It’s not a formalized campaign right, it’s an agitational internet post to “see what’s out there.” I don’t want to unilaterally work on this campaign, make all the directives, and call to action. I have been part of many different campaigns over the years and organizations. Right now, this is me as an individual, feeling rather fractured after the PSL scandal and resigning. This is just me throwing a dart to see where it lands as an individual with little capacity right now.

5·30 days agoThere’s a conversation to be had about how limited horizontalism allows for a greater capacity to work and to foster a local social culture. In DemCent, there is a series of committees with overlapping liaisons that should make local and work group decisions and sentiment work their way to the center. It is then processed by leadership and works its way back outward. In socialist countries, cities tend to have a lot of autonomy within their predefined structure.
But yeah — PSL is commandist. We have next to no power in the Party to change anything at the national level. Party Congresses, which include local delegates and are the highest body of power that could change internal policies within the CC, seem to be a bit of a facade based on many accounts. Also, the CC elects 40% of the Congress delegates, which is highly unusual for a Communist Party anywhere.

4·30 days agoIt’s not a polemic, it’s essentially a social media post to evaluate initial interest and agitate to comrades already aligned. There are plenty of good essays and polemics on the problems with the PSL.

5·30 days agoI can find you a plethora of Marxists texts, essays, and quotes by the ML classics (Lenin, Mao, Uncle Ho) that espouse the opposite of cadre having to stay in a corrupt, non-democratic Party with opportunist leadership.

7·30 days agoThis is definitely a contradiction even if it wasn’t intentional. A lot of the CC also have paid jobs in the Party or it’s various public facing projects (BTN, PF). Eugene was suspended from Party (volunteer) work but ended in the same office for BTN or whatever work (paid) that Marissa was working in as well on Party work. They used that arbitrary distinction to allow him to continue Party work within days of his suspension for SA.

51·1 month agoI didn’t know my history as PSL cadre was attached to my account here. I promise you, we have attempted to “organize this internally.” They ignored us. And if you were in PSL, you would know there is no direct horizontal relationships between branches.

142·1 month agoThe Party is falling apart. They will do whatever possible to publicly alter the truth that the Party is absolutely hemorrhaging cadre. Many branches are defunct but National is seizing social media logins from branches so they don’t post a “we’re closed” post like Anchorage. The sink is shipping because of a handful of narcissistic, incompetent idiots perverting the tenets of Democratic Centralist to mean unilateral commandism. All the homeys say: fuck the Beckers

You can vote for delegates from your branch to go to party congress to theoretically have influence on national bodies. Joining a CC happens over a long period of time based on work with National - usually initiated by your work/merit in your Branch… This is typical in any ML-style party. I am one of many who resigned from PSL but that is my unbiased take. I will say the CC elects 40% of the congress delegates, which is highly unusual for any communist party historically anywhere in the world that I know of
