This sounds like the same nonsense as Elon. All we’ll end up seeing is targeted mobs of Reddit sycophants and randos who don’t actually understand the stakes participating in bogus polls to make it appear like Reddit has a handle on the pulse of the community. Then Reddit can claim to be “fair” and “neutral” and…it’s just absurd.
Yeah, it’s kinda crazy but I’m already running the dev beta on my iPad Pro and my Mac mini (main machine), and other than occasional graphics glitches or whatnot, I’ve been amazed at the stability and some actual bug fixes from previous versions. If it’s looking this good already at the beginning of the summer, I’m feeling pumped about the fall!
Also just throwing this out there: I run a Discord called The Spicy Web that really is about learning and building stuff with the fundamentals, even for old-timers like myself (but all the more for newbies! So much advice out there is about pulling in tons of opinionated tools and dependencies, even when you don’t need them…). At any point if you want to bounce ideas or questions off folks in real-time, check it out!
