These developers have to be fucking loaded and their game frankly does not come even close to reflecting the amount of money its made. It is in a sorry state quite frankly.

I played NEO with a friend watching along the entire time. It’s decent, though IMO the gameplay gets rather repetitive.

Yeah, ARM seems like such a shitshow of an ecosystem to me that I think the idea of it actually replacing x86 everywhere is laughable until such time as they (who even is they?) get their shit together.
Your hair is so nice!!

When Microsoft also has no discs in the next generation.

Dusk and SoH are both extremely solid ways to experience those games. There’s 2S2H for Majora’s Mask, too!

This art direction is unbelievably bad, IMO. I am shocked to seemingly be in the minority on this.

So I’ve heard! I am hoping to start HRT very soon, I have an initial consult in about 7 hours actually :)

You definitely look much happier. Good for you, girl! :)
Cily is a lovely name I’ve not heard before.
But here I am, with a Claude Max 5x subscription for the past year and a half. I’m not comfortable with it, but the utility is just too great for me to take a principled stance here. I like it, and I want it, so I’m using it. Maybe that’s morally questionable, or worse. But, as I said: here I am.
If you truly had principles and were uncomfortable with it, you wouldn’t fucking use it.
It’s a tool, like any other.
It is quite literally a tool unlike any other in many both measurably and unmeasurably bad ways.

Oh yeah, Mallcrasher is a really funny one to stealth lol

Unreal Engine is a real cancer on this industry. Unbelievably bullshit but insanely high adoption anyways.

The harder missions are not stealth-able despite seeming that way at the outset.
Every mission that says it is stealthable is stealthable. This is just wrong. I’ve played this game for ~700 hours.

Yeah, development of PD2 was handed over to Sidetrack Games which is a tiny studio made up of a few modders.
They’ve done great work on the game so far, including the upcoming engine improvements and fixing many very old bugs that Starbreeze never bothered with. They’re great!
Interesting that this is a completely different program to the Windows version. I wonder if this is also going to replace that one at some point and we just got it early?
The Launcher is required to use Jagex accounts (unless you want to use the third party Bolt launcher, which works fine) instead of old, insecure RuneScape accounts. The latter is also being fully discontinued for actually logging in to the game, so this is them properly supporting Linux again before that is enforced.
Both the website (looks like average AI slop website design) and the GitHub link in the footer really suggest it is tbh.

So, just to be clear, with a PC you can:
Steam allows (but notably does not require) DRM but has Proton integration, Steam Input and Steam Family Sharing. The refund policy is also reasonable and makes me far more likely to try games I might not otherwise.
GOG is also an option for true digital ownership of games, if they’re sold there. The refund policy there is even better!
Meanwhile, Sony’s refund policy is laughably bad (no refunds once you start the download) and they’re about to force everyone to fucking deal with it. What is the point of owning one of these locked down, shitty boxes at this point?
I mean, yeah? If they give it to you DRM free, then it is solely your problem to make sure you actually keep it forever.
