Yep, real smart people there. Anybody who voted for both of them together is an idiot. They represent polar opposites of the political spectrum. She’s basically the most progressive politician after Bernie, and he’s the most regressive. She’s thoughtful in the way she expresses herself, and he spews verbal diarrhea and lies as if he would instantly die if he said anything true.

Anybody who thinks Trump cares for the working class is fucking delusional. He’s shown time after time that he doesn’t care about anything that doesn’t directly benefit him. He’s a fucking monster and anyone who can’t see that has to be stupid.

Weren’t the two episodes free?

There are good jump scares and cheap jump scares.

I learned of KDE Connect on here a couple months ago. I don’t use it a ton, but it’s really convenient for a few things. File transfers are easy, and you can send your clipboard between devices. That’s been useful for when I’m communicating with someone on my phone, I can look stuff up on my PC and share URLs easily.

I was mostly joking, but KDE Connect has made phone-to-PC transfers much more convenient for me. I’ve only tried it between Android and Linux, but once connected, it basically nounts my phone as a drive that I can browse or copy/paste to and from.

Generally, I only use a cable to charge, and I rarely need/want to transfer files at the same time as I want to charge.

Google is trying to pick and choose who to filter out of results.

The SEPM claims that Google was preparing to test a scheme that would exclude articles from specific media outlets with which it is in dispute over rights to online news content.

You could use KDE Connect and do it wirelessly as well. Who needs cables for anything but charging these days?

One downside here is the kid is going to be told, at least as far as he can understand it, that daddy didn’t want to go. And the kid, not understanding the nuance of the situation, won’t understand that it’s because mommy fucked up their relationship.

If it were me, I’d go and do my best to enjoy the trip. Babysitting duty doesn’t sound so bad when it’s your own kid and you get to share travel experiences with them.

Orphan Black was great. The most insane part was how you could tell which character was pretending to be another character even though they look the same. Tatiana Maslany did fantastic work on that show.

They brought back the paper edition of the Onion and also gave the writers more freedom to write random shit. It sounds like they liked what The Onion was and want to make more of it.

I think for the mos part it’s fine, but Windows doesn’t seem to like sharing NTFS drives. So keeping an old NTFS drive with all your games is generally not a problem, but sharing an NTFS game drive between Windows and Linux sometimes causes issues.

From a quick test, that does seem to remove most data.

Instead of that, if you’re going to through that process for just a few files, the Details tab in the file properties has a link at the bottom to strip all that stuff.

If you’re on Windows, right click an image, and go into the properties. There should be a Details tab where you’ll find a bunch of text fields that can be edited.

There’s also data that doesn’t even show in there. For example, your camera/phone could be set up to save its GPS coordinates in EXIF so that you can keep track of where the pictures were taken. Naturally, unless it’s stripped from the file, that data can be seen by anyone who has access to the file.

Most image editing software should be able to delete any EXIF data, but there is also software that can mass-edit all of that stuff to simplify the process.

Keep in mind that we’re in an echo chamber here. We see and read stuff that most people don’t care to know about, and we communicate amongst ourselves without considering the people who are outside of our echo chamber. In the same way people last week were googling about Biden dropping out of the election, a lot of people don’t know what’s happening with a lot of things around them. It doesn’t make them bad people, just ignorant.

That’s not the point. If Jeff Bezos wanted to spend 1 billion dollars today he could. Like maybe he couldn’t walk out of the bank with 1 billion dollars in cash, but all he would need to do was sign a piece of paper and that 1 billion is on its way to a new owner. That 1 billion on its own is more than enough for you and your family to live extravagantly for your entire lives, and you still wouldn’t touch half of it. After spending that 1 billion dollars, he’s got 184 more. It may not be cash, but it’s value that can be traded, spent, or used as collateral.

The form that this wealth takes is irrelevant. What matters is that if it were redistributed, it could change thousands or even millions of lives, and instead it serves only one person.
