From across the pond, I’m sorry you’re going through that. I try to keep up on how this is panning out in Europe as a whole, but I’m never really sure what news sources are worth trusting.

It’s amazing how easily the corpo social media sites outright supported, and in Meta’s case, lobbied for this surveillance overreach.

Outrage fatigue has set in, along with a fucked up economy, weak job market, and inflation. Will people accept all this as the “new normal” and just keep trying to survive it? Most will until they can’t anymore. I don’t know what that’s going to look like, but I hope it’s rooted deeply in civil disobedience and destruction of corporate control over us all.

I fucking hope so. I’ve been driving since the mid 90s and every time I’ve owned an American car, it’s been a shitshow. I’ve owned cars built in the 80s (Dodge, Chevy), 90s (Pontiac), 2000s (Chevy again), and the 2010s (Ford, Chrysler).

Each car has a number of similar issues: cheap parts, convoluted electrical/computer issues, leaks, lacklustre safety ratings, uninspired interiors, fuel inefficiencies, and blind spots for days.

I only buy used that are 10-20 years old, fix them up and keep them on the road for life. VW and Subaru are my go-to at this point.

No idea. Too broke to fly. I just assumed all of them were enshittified since I last flew a decade ago.

Fuck no. I dropped out of High School thanks to a bunch of racist Hawaiians and Samoans because I started standing up against their bullying midyear.

Kids that look like they might be military brats got targetted quick. I wasn’t one of those kids, but I was just another “fucking haole”. School staff turned a blind eye to the harassment and intimidation. Shits a lost cause when the campus security is literally related or close with these kids families.

Dropped out, got a GED, got a job, started a family, moved back stateside, never looked back. Aloha Oe, ya fuckers lol
