You’re witnessing capitalism run it’s course. There will never be a such thing as harmless capitalism. Capitalism cannot exist without exploitation. The ruling class has perfected slavery via consumerism. You don’t live in a free society, and it’s going to get worse.

When has the US been post war? Edit: I understand what you’re sayimg now. And you’re looking for ethical capitalism, which is a weird thing to say. In other words, ethical-exploitation. Doesn’t seem like a real thing, yeah?
The only reason FDR caved as much as he did is because the US had a strong communist presence. They’ve fixed that. Your longing for the past is akin to conservatism, no?
It’s better for the locals, I suppose. Back to slowly boiling the working class, but equally terrible for the rest of the world. Especially the global south.
Which Democrats do not support capitalism? There’s no such thing as a capitalism supporting left wing. Bernie is probably the closest thing, though not a Democrat, and even he is pro-capitalism.

The status quo will get the job done. Do the same and hope for a different result. Best of luck.
Educating yourself on the atrocities commited by both the Democrats and Republicans would have you not so excited about a “blue wave.” They’re just the other right wingers.
You will not be saved by a ruling class bootlicker.
Sub in the other capitalists. That’ll fix it.
Requesting time off is just a formality. There’s no harassment for using sick leave. Around 3% raises every year, usually, it’s negotiated. We still have a pension with rule of 85. Stand by pay while on call. Full wages paid while serving on jury duty. Some rarer benefits would be around $2k paid towards hearing aids and lasik.
The ability to leave work at work is priceless. There’s a line drawn in the sand and it’s respected.
We’ve had some employees paid to retire early, but I’m unaware of any layoffs throughout the history of the company.
It’s pretty wonderful. It’s the way everyone should be treated regardless of where they’re employed. Or unemployed. The profits over people bullshit has gotten outta hand.
<3 Co-ops. I’m a union member at a co-op. It’s as good as it gets for a working class person in the US. Seeing the light was the beginning of my radicalization. Add a little theory and the great awakening was complete. 🫡

301·22 days agoDoes this also come with universal health care, free education, 100% employment, and housing as a right? If not, it’s not very Stalinist.

Some easy reading will open your eyes to what’s going on around you. A book that’s often recommended is Black Shirts and Reds by Michael Parenti. Some of the views regarding China are pretty outdated, and even he fell for some of the western propaganda, but it gives you a much clearer picture of what actually goes on in the world in regards to western imperialism.
Inequality is a feature of Capitalism. It certainly doesn’t have to be this way. The ruling class wants us divided.
