It’s because his mouth really looks like a butthole. Some uncanny valley shit. What can I say, some people just got that butthole mouth thing going on.

I’m not sure how accurate early voter demographics correlate to voting patterns anymore. I work for a municipality, and my office has a clear view of the voting lines. They were PACKED for the first week of early voting. They have been empty today. Like, people are still coming in to vote, but it’s onesie-twosies, not the 50+ person lines it was. Allegedly we had over 50% of our eligible voters cast their ballots during early voting. And my area is pretty solidly red. I’m having trouble making any sort of prediction based on it.
I’ve had Aerogardens for years. I don’t think any of mine are IoT devices. I’ve grown a ton of lettuce, basil varieties, peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, etc… A bit pricey up front if you don’t buy on sale, but I feel I got way more produce out of them than expected.
I knew it was this guy just from the headlines. He’s tricked the media in the past with the fake beach pictures after hurricanes/nor’easterns… also flooded the market around here with fake sunsets and dolphins, etc. and has really hurt the livelihood of some local artists because a lot of people can’t tell they are fakes. He’s another provoquer and seeing this make the news will inspire him to keep making more fakes.
I used to work for a major research university and they switched to Kaspersky. It baffled me that any foreign AV was permitted, let alone one made in a hostile country.
Thanks!
Thanks!
How are you blocking full instances? I’ve been playing wack-a-mole blocking communities. I’m using Voyager on iOS, if that matters.
About $3.50
“Happy Friday!”
You can fuck right off with your happy Friday. Office people, sheesh.
Just getting done with my fourth here. First time losing taste and smell.
In my experience, it’s harder to make meaningful friendships in the cities I’ve lived in. I met more people, but it always seemed within five minutes or so the question “what do you do for a living?” would be asked, and the answer was “make-or-break” whether the conversation went any farther. For the record, I work in IT and have absolutely no interest talking about it outside of work (unless digital privacy is the main focus). I think a lot of city people are only interested in being friends with their own “class” or out of convenience (e.g., parents making friends because kids go to the same school, etc)
Small towns you can’t easily dispose of people you don’t see eye-to-eye with, and I really appreciate it because you don’t get stuck in echo chambers as easily, and you learn to see things from perspectives you don’t agree with. In my experience, small town people are more ok with their view points being challenged without being totally offended, even if there’s no chance in their minds being changed. You just have to do it respectfully.
My home town is super small (less than 1,000). I moved back to an area close to it with about 7,500 people and found that’s the sweet spot for me. It’s a tourist town, but my friends here are way more reliable and less fickle than the ones I had in the city. Can always plan a trip to the city if there’s some big event that looks fun.
I’ll currently on day three of no smells (except bacon, interestingly). Lost taste for about 36 hours, but that’s back now fortunately. Is my fourth Covid infection. First time losing smell or taste.
Would have preferred not seeing this article for a few days 🙃
Sumac is great in a Mediterranean style salad dressing as well.
No, but they are a nice addition if you like them with the added benefit of more fiber, oils, and minerals. They do help thicken everything up, so if you aren’t going to add them maybe use less milk unless you like it soupy.
I normally make a few portions at once since imo they have better texture anyway if you give them two+ days to absorb moisture. I try to make another portion every day, but since I have a few in the fridge it gives me breathing room if I’m feeling lazy any particular day.
Here’s my unsolicited recipe for overnight oats, you sweet, fiber-deficient lemmies:
1/4 cup steel cut oats, 1 Tbsp chia seeds, a glob of honey, 1/8 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 3/4 cup of milk, then in the morning add 1/4 cup crushed walnuts and a ton of blueberries.
Back in the day, you were pushed hard to either put McAfee or Norton on your computer when you bought one from Dell, Compaq, etc. A lot of older people still think you need to do that so it’s still pretty popular.
