Reddit supposedly does not receive ad revenue on posts that are nsfw, so some mods are changing their subreddits (that are forced to go public) to nsfw and loosening up rules. Hence, the Pornhub logo design
I wonder if they’re creating “temporary” communities to do their part in supporting the fediverse, but perhaps they are unable to volunteer to the degree that is required to mod a community longterm. I’d be curious to hear from someone who’s offering up their community to reddit mods who moderate the reddit equivalent.
Same here. Deleted my Reddit up and I am switching between the Memmy and Mlem apps on ios with Testflight. I am enjoying the smaller communities since it feels safer to participate than it ever did on Reddit.
