Bruce Springsteen began his show at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on Sunday by expressing how he was grateful that no one was hurt at the Correspondents' Dinner shooting.
‘We can be critical of those in power, and we can peacefully fight for our beliefs, but there is no place in any way, shape, or form for political violence of any kind in our beloved United States,’ Springsteen said to the crowd.
Even tho most of Lemmy disagrees with that, I very much agree with Springsteen on this!
There isn’t issonance/hypocrisy at all in his statment. He was saying regardless fo where you stand, political violence isn’t good. And he’s right. Just because edgy vegan 25-year old malcontents on Lemmy want a revolution, doesn’t mean there should be one.
And by the way, they’re won’t be one. There will be no revolution. No eating the rich. And looks like Trump is gonna make it all thru his presidency. Even tho that really annoys Lemmy. LMAO

Yes there is, and I pointed it out in my initial comment.

Where did that come from? Are you okay? Do you need a hug or something?

You clearly have a big chip on your shoulder about some shit that doesn’t involve me and isn’t directly related to this post. I don’t know who needs to hear it, but it’s not me. I’m not these people you’re bitching about. I’m just someone who thinks that if you truly believe there’s no room for political violence in America, then when someone tries to put a stop to the biggest perpetrator of it in the country, you keep your fucking mouth shut for a change.
Let me be clear: I do not believe calls against violence to be sincere when they are in support of one of the most violent, repugnant thugs in the world. I do not think murder is the answer but he’s 80 something and nothing else has worked and a lot of other, much less monstrous people are dying because he lives to see another day.

Then maybe he shouldn’t be praying for the safety of America’s foremost perpetrator of political violence.
There’s nothing wrong with hoping that someone doesn’t get murdered.
I didn’t say there was. The problem is in the dissonance/hypocrisy at work in his statement.

It’s crazy to me that someone asking for not political violence is so controversial for you! lmao

Get some fuckin perspective! lmao
I have plenty. Murder isn’t the answer. He was elected in. Deal with it till next elections. Not that tough to understand.
