And you have to have a license to unlock that capability. I just bought one of these boards in June (used) and once I cracked the license, I had to update the IPMI before I could update the bios. This was after two failed bios flashes from a Lenovo server that it was replacing, so I wasn’t exactly excited for this process, but hey, it didn’t kill the board so it’s better in my book than MSI (also killed a board a decade ago) and Lenovo.
All three dead boards had a ups, and I followed the instructions to the letter. Both companies are blacklisted for me.
